Sapporo

In winter, Sapporo and Hokkaido are covered by snow and become the home of impressive winter events such as the Sapporo Snow Festival (February 5–11, 2016) or Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival (Late January-February).

Sapporo is also very famous for various delicacies such as crab and other seafood, ramen noodles, soup curry, "Genghis Khan" mutton, local beers, whisky, wine and much more.
